Happy April, it’s sunny again!
BlackTIDES data friends. We’re deep into 2023, and now past Q1. We enjoyed the break after #BlackInDataWeek2023 and are back with a vengeance! A few updates for you:
💹 2023 Offerings
If you’ve been following us for a while, you’ll remember we’ve had different content including networking and mentorship sessions, open discussions on Twitter Spaces (some of which are on our YouTube channel 😜), and a podcast. We have slightly modified these to accommodate a wider range of the Black in data community needs and our executive committee volunteers’ schedules.
In 2023 and 2024, expect to see:
🗣 Networking sessions every other month starting August, 2023
👨🏾💻 Monthly Data Career Chats where you can ask an executive committee member a range of questions about your career path - starting May, 2023
👩🏾🏫 Monthly training sessions - starting in the fall of 2023. These will focus on a specific career or technical theme. Some upcoming sessions include owning your career development after getting your job, AI, and organizational analytics!
Keep an eye out for next month’s issue to catch this new wave
